NAVIGAIT™ is an excellent alternative to carbon fiber or other plastic orthoses for patients diagnosed with foot drop (without additional deformities). NAVIGAIT™ takes up virtually no space in the shoe and provides solid support for the foot. The padded plastic part of the orthosis comfortably surrounds the lower leg and is secured with Velcro straps. Additionally, the hook at the front of the orthosis can be attached to the shoe laces. This design makes it easy to adjust the orthosis to meet the specific needs of each user. The padding of the orthosis is washable.

The manufacturer has also created an accessory for the orthosis — NaviGAIT 4-Foot, which is a forefoot cuff. It allows the NaviGAIT to be used without shoes or with footwear that has no laces (e.g., sandals).
